It depends on the size and condition of the tree, how close it is to buildings and power lines, and how we can access it. Rather than quote a vague range, we ask for a couple of photos or do a quick site visit and give you an itemized, fixed price. No hidden fees on the invoice.

Sometimes. Certain municipalities, national park regulations and strata rules require approval, particularly for larger or boundary trees. We tell you upfront whether a permit is likely needed for your property and can help you through the process.

Yes. We carry $5M commercial general liability insurance and WCB coverage. It matters because if an uninsured worker is hurt on your property, or an uninsured crew damages your home, the liability can land on you. Always ask a tree company for proof of both before they climb.

It means the work is done by someone who has been tested and certified by the International Society of Arboriculture and keeps that certification current. In practice it is the difference between someone who understands tree biology and hazard, and someone who just owns a chainsaw. Our owner, Jeffrey Lawrence, is also a certified Wildlife and Dangerous Tree Assessor.

In some cases. Canmore reimburses fruit-tree removal that reduces bear conflict, and Banff offers an incentive for removing conifers within the 10-metre Home Ignition Zone. Programs and amounts change, so we confirm what currently applies to your address and prepare the paperwork as part of the job.

Always. We hold ourselves to a White-Glove standard: wood removed or stacked as you prefer, brush chipped, and the ground raked before we leave. The goal is that the property is cleaner than when we arrived.

Yes, around the clock. If a tree is on your house, across your driveway or into a power line, call us. If a line is involved, also contact the utility and 911, and do not attempt to cut a tree that is under load yourself.
