Tree Removal in the Bow Valley

Residential tree care

Tree Removal

There is a tree you have started parking away from. That instinct is usually right.

A dead or leaning tree does not announce the day it comes down. It waits for the wind that funnels through the valley, the heavy spring snow load, or the saturated ground after a thaw. By the time the lean is obvious from the kitchen window, the roots have often already given up.

The expensive version of this problem is the one that happens on its own schedule, into a roof, a vehicle, a power line or a fence line you share with a neighbour. What starts as a removal you could have booked becomes an insurance claim, and the tree still has to come out afterward, now in pieces around the damage.

We take trees down in a controlled way, which in a tight mountain lot usually means climbing and rigging the tree out in sections rather than felling it. Limbs are lowered on ropes, not dropped. Where access allows, we bring equipment in on matting to protect the driveway and lawn. Every removal is planned around what is underneath it before a saw starts.

The work is done by an ISA Certified Arborist, fully insured with $5M liability and WCB coverage, so if anything did go wrong on your property, it is our problem and not yours. When the crew leaves, the wood is bucked and removed or stacked as you prefer, the debris is chipped, and the site is raked. We can grind the stump in the same visit.

Send a couple of photos of the tree and where it sits, and you will get a clear, itemized quote back, with no vague ranges and no surprises on the invoice.

What that looks like

How we do the work

  • Climbing and precision rigging

Sectional removals for tight lots, so limbs come down on ropes, not on your roof.

  • Property protection

Matting and careful access to leave the driveway, lawn and beds intact.

  • Fully insured, $5M liability

ISA certified and WCB covered, so the risk sits with us, not you.

  • Clean site, every time

Wood removed or stacked, brush chipped, ground raked before we go.

Common questions

Tree Removal FAQs

Straight answers to the questions we hear most. Anything else, call and ask.

It depends on the size of the tree, how close it is to buildings and lines, and how we can access it. A straightforward backyard removal is very different from a large hazard tree over a roof. Send photos and we will give you an itemized, fixed quote rather than a range.
